Terms of Service
These terms govern the use of PulseChart, practice management software operated by Defining Details LLC (“PulseChart”, “we”, “us”). Section 1 applies to anyone who receives text messages sent through PulseChart. The remaining sections apply to practices and their staff who use the software.
1. Text messaging (SMS) terms
- The programs. Each practice’s text messages are that practice’s own program, named for the practice (a practice called Main Street Chiropractic runs “Main Street Chiropractic text messages”). PulseChart also runs PulseChart Demo Practice text messages, from its demonstration practice: replies to your inquiry and your messages, demo scheduling, appointment confirmations and reminders, and scheduling changes, and no offers. You can sign up for it by ticking the optional text-message box on the contact form at pulsechart.pro/sms; the form can be sent without it.
- Who sends them. Texts come from your healthcare practice, sent from the practice’s own phone number through PulseChart, the software the practice uses to run its appointments and records.
- What they are. Appointment reminders, appointment confirmations and changes, forms to complete before a visit, replies from the practice to messages you send, other communications from your practice about your care and your account, and, if you agreed to them, offers from your practice.
- How you agree to receive them. You receive texts after you give your mobile number to your practice and agree to be contacted by text — for example by ticking the text-message box on the practice’s online booking page. Agreeing is not a condition of purchase or of receiving care.
- How often. Message frequency varies, depending on your appointments and your practice’s communications with you.
- Cost. Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details of your plan.
Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. After you reply STOP you will receive one message confirming you are unsubscribed, and no further texts from that number. Reply START to receive texts again. Reply HELP at any time for support information.
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. For help with texts sent through PulseChart, email technology@pulsechart.pro. For questions about your appointments or your care, contact your practice directly.
We do not sell or share mobile numbers or text messaging consent for marketing. See the Privacy Policy.
2. Using PulseChart
PulseChart is provided to practices under an account created with Defining Details LLC. Each practice is responsible for the people it gives access to, for the accuracy of what it records, and for having the consent it needs to contact its patients — including consent to send them text messages. Users must keep their sign-in details private and use PulseChart only for the practice’s legitimate business.
3. PulseChart is software, not medical care
PulseChart does not deliver care, provide medical advice, or treat patients. Care is delivered by the practice; PulseChart is where the practice records and runs it. Clinical decisions remain the responsibility of the practice and its clinicians.
4. Patient information
Patient information entered into PulseChart belongs to the practice. We handle it as the practice’s service provider, under a Business Associate Agreement where HIPAA requires one, and as described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Availability and changes
We work to keep PulseChart available and secure, but it may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. We may update the software and these terms; material changes to these terms will be posted here with a new date.
6. Contact
